India increases oil imports from two powerful countries.

India has increased the amount of oil it buys from Russia and America. Till now, most of India’s energy used to come from Russia. Now, oil is also coming to India from America.US President Donald Trump imposed additional tariffs on Indian goods a long time ago. Trump has not yet withdrawn these tariffs. Since then, India has slightly reduced the amount of oil it buys from Russia.

In a report by Anandabazar.com, it has been revealed that India is currently buying oil from two countries, Russia and America. India has not only not been buying oil but has increased the quantity. It can be said that Delhi is trying to keep both the powerful countries in line.

However, according to the Union Ministry of Oil, India has details of oil purchases from Moscow and Washington. In November, India received 77 million tonnes of oil from Russia. This amount is much higher than the total oil imports in the country.It was found that in November 2024, India imported 7 percent more oil than it purchased from Russia.

The US President was unhappy with India for buying oil from Moscow from the beginning. He imposed additional tariffs on India for that. Due to the imposition of additional tariffs, relations between India and America are not going very well.Despite the additional tariffs, the two countries reached a trade deal. But the deal has not yet been announced. Meanwhile, India has been gradually increasing its oil purchases from the US in November.

Nearly 2.8 million tonnes of oil arrived in India from America in November.
