India to buy US goods worth Rs 45 lakh crore under India-US trade deal.
US President Donald Trump has previously made it clear that he will reduce tariffs on Indian goods. On Saturday, he clarified the issue of interim trade between India and the US.
According to a report by Anandabazar.com, it has been learned that the additional 25 percent duty imposed on Indian goods as a penalty for buying oil from Russia has been withdrawn.And the overall tariff has also been reduced from 25 percent to 18 percent. All in all, India now has an 18 percent tariff.
According to the India-US trade agreement, several products coming to India from America are on the list.
For example, India will either withdraw tariffs or completely remove them on food grains, animal feed, nuts, fresh fruits, soybean oil, wine, etc.
India-US trade deal focuses on medical equipment and agriculture sectors.
In addition, both India and the US have agreed to the condition that each other will be allowed preferential market access according to the interests of the two countries.
