Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday extended his greetings to the citizens on the occasion of the four-day Chhath Puja.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that his heartfelt greetings to everyone on the occasion of Kharna Puja, the festival of Chhath.
My tribute and congratulations to all the fasting mothers. There is a tradition surrounding this holy Chhath festival, which is to make kheer with jaggery and take prasad.
The full meaning of this is that on the occasion of Chhath festival, women prepare kheer with milk, jaggery, and rice during “Kharna Puja”.
Later, this kheer prasad is accepted by everyone in the house, and many times, this kheer prasad is distributed to neighbors in their respective neighborhoods.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned the lyrics of the song written by Dinesh Lal Yadav in his greetings.
This traditional song is —( “सुख लेके उगिह दुख लेके डूबिह” )Dinesh Lal Yadav is a Bhojpuri singer.
Preparations for Chhath Puja are in full swing since Saturday. Chhath Puja is observed in Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand and several other states of India. Celebrations are going on all over the country.
Various rituals are performed on the occasion of this Chhath Puja. Fasting women worship and pray to the Sun God and Chhath Mata during the Chhath festival.
