A strong earthquake shook the Ladakh region of northwest Kashmir at 11:51 am on Monday.According to a report by Hindustan Times, the National Centre for Seismology said that an earthquake measuring 5.7on the Richter scale jolted the Leh-Ladakh region of northwest Kashmir, India.
The tremor was felt across the Himalayan mountain range. The Himalayan mountain range is an earthquake-prone region and the depth of the tremor was about 171 km.
Earthquake Damage: According to reports, there is no information about damage caused by this earthquake yet.Emergency measures are being taken by the administration. However, if tremors are felt, the general public has been advised to come out of their homes and stand in open areas.
